PLO 8-Max saw 27 entries generate a €5,700 prize pool after 2x re-entries. Early action was wild, and the final table featured:
- Fintan Gavin – 215,000
- Surinder Sunar – 176,500
- Ian Hamrock – 106,500
- Barry O’Sullivan – 78,500
It was great to see Surinder back on Irish soil, for those who are not in the know, Surinder is a British poker legend, who won WPT Paris all the way back in 2004, but what made the victory all the sweeter was his calm demeanor against Tony G. Although he made 11 final tables at the WSOP, Surinder never collected a bracelet, regardless, he is still to this day considered one of the most feared and respected players of our time. It’s truly wonderful to welcome you to the Irish Poker Tour, and we are all looking forward to seeing his results throughout the weekend.
Short stacks included Frank Dunleavy, Dylan Yip, Patrick McGinley, Duane McDonnell, and Jim McCarthy.
Three-handed, it was a showdown of the old faithful: Ian “The Hamster” Hamrock, Barry O’Sullivan, and legend Frank Dunleavy.
- Barry O’Sullivan – 360,000
- Ian Hamrock – 310,000
- Frank Dunleavy – 140,000
Ultimately,The Hamster claimed the win: €2,150 after a heads up deal with Frank Dunleavy
