Incredible Year For The Irish Poker Tour Culminates in The Green Isle

The Irish Poker Tour Final marks the end of the 2025 IPT season with a festive Festival in Dublin’s Green Isle Hotel. This year the Main Event is an incredible €200,000 for €200 extravaganza which will attract players from all over Ireland and beyond for a New Year’s blowout.

It has been a truly outstanding year for the tour with well in excess of €5million paid out in tournament prizemoney, new events and venues drawing huge crowds and generating great excitement, and thousands of new players joining in the fun. Traditional poker hotspots such as Galway, Killarney, Dublin and Donegal hosted belting Festivals but so did Glasgow and Charleville. Carrick on Shannon, Loughrea, Sligo and Portlaoise all hosted their first Tour events this year and all smashed their ambitious-seeming guarantees.

The Festival kicks off on New Year’s Day with a €20,000 guaranteed NLH tournament starting at 13:00 followed by Day 1A of the Main starting at 18:00, but the event that will really attract nationwide interest is the Leaderboard Playoff. The leading 16 players in the Leaderboard table after 12 months of striving will battle it out for their share of over €38,000 and a top prize of €10,000.

Paul Carr has won the Leaderboard playoff in each of its iterations and is determined to make it three in a row but Mary Galvin and 14 other men are equally determined to stop him. It should be a classic. Cards are in the air at 13:00 and Jerry will be providing full coverage and up to the minute reporting on LPU (Live Poker Updates).
