Irish Poker Tour Announces Huge Bonus For Leaderboard Winner

As the Leaderboard race reaches its final crescendo the Irish Poker Tour has added a special bonus prize worth €1,500 to be awarded to the prizes and accolades that go with proving yourself the best and most consistent player across the IPT year.

Killian Farrell, Shane Keary and Paul Carr have been switching places at the head of affairs over the last few events and there is still plenty of opportunities for any one of them to emerge triumphant in what started out as a good-natured rivalry but has become a little bit testy as the tension mounts.

The overall fund will end up at approximately €51,500 and with the top three finishers dividing 25% of the pool between them (50%, 30%, 20%) meaning that the winner will earn approximately €6,500.

As of today’s announcement, the winner will also receive a VIP package for the Smart Poker Tour Festival at the Monte Casino in Sofia for the weekend of February 6th to 8th. This prize consists of three nights’ stay in the 5* Intercontinental Sofia, airport transfers and a €1,000 entry into the Festival Main Event and is valued at €1,500.

This has been another record busting year for the Irish Poker Tour with total tournament entries currently standing at 26,342 and total cash prizepools of over €5.5 million. The Tour is growing all across Ireland and Europe and will continue to reach the places and players that love poker and love to see it coming to their locality.
