Irish Poker Tour Final 2025 – Day 2 Wrap

After the thrilling culmination of the IPT leaderboard final, those vying for the top spot in 2026 have already begun their journey. It is clear to see that players were eager to pull up a pew and get back at the tables after the festive period.

The day started with the €200k for €200 IPT FINAL 1B​ which saw a total of 165 entries signing up to take part. Hoping to secure a bag early for the final day on Sunday. As is often the case at the IPT events the roster was packed with people from all over the world. Players from Poland, Romania, Portugal, Latvia, New Zealand, Georgia, Spain, Korea and Bulgaria to name a few. From this flight 18 players made it through with highest stacks belonging to Damian Wroblewski who had 404,000, Adam Green bagged up 465,000 and the highest stack was with Sean Murtagh who secured 526,000.

Next up was the Omaha 500​, with a higher buy-in giving players the opportunity to speculate in order to accumulate. In this event there were 57 entries in total bringing the prize pool to €24,625 for this event. Getting off to a great start was the man who was pipped at the post on the IPT leaderboard, Shane Keary. As play progressed the field began to thin, Shane finished in 4th banking €2,450. In 3rd place taking home €3,800 was William Chen. When it got down to the head’s up Zeik Tuit was massively under stacked. He fought hard and managed to claw back the deficit and take the win meaning in 2nd was Rafael Tully, who pocketed €6,000. Taking home the trophy and €9,625 was Zeik Tuit.

The €200k for €200 IPT FINAL 1C​ got underway, which saw a whopping 276 entries in total signing up for this flight. At this stage the floor was alive with action and the atmosphere as always at the IPT events, was electric. Battling it out through the evening players were eager to bolster their position for the final day. At the end of play 31 players held on to make through to Sunday. From this flight the highest stacks brought forward were with Mahmood Rasheed who had 617,000, next was Jordan Cooper who bagged up 618,000. The highest stack was secured by Alan Trueick who had 654,000.

With one more flight to be played on Friday in the form of the €200k for €200 IPT FINAL 1D​, those wanting another bash at it had the opportunity to join in with players arriving a little later to the party. In total there were 130 entries who signed up to this flight. With the culmination of the Omaha 500 providing background noise, players battled it out. From this flight the highest stacks were with Marc Forde who had 319,000, Michael Hooper bagged up 325,000, the largest stack was secured by Mourad Kissous who had 514,000.

The final event to kick off was the Friday Night NLH which saw a total of 34 entries signing up. As is always the case on the Friday of these events the atmosphere was jovial and fun with many happy to be back in familiar surroundings. When it got down to 5 players an ICM deal was struck meaning in 5th was Sean Murtagh with €685, 4th was Anthony Crampton with €735, 3rd was Vasileios Kontogiannis with €860, 2nd place went to Geoffrey McClay with €1,160. The winner to the delight of those still playing in the Main was Cyril Doherty who took home the trophy and €1,260.
