Irish Poker Tour Team to Contest World Championship of Amateur Poker

In an Olympic year, we are all inspired to challenge ourselves to improve and dream of representing our country in a huge international event. Some of the brightest and the best on the Irish Poker Tour have risen to this challenge and will represent Irish poker and the Irish Poker Tour at the World Championship of Amateur Poker (WCOAP) this August in Nottingham and they are bringing Shane Keary with them.

Dusk Till Dawn will host the WCOAP from August 21st to 26th with teams from around the world vying for the prestigious title.
Team Ireland is:

Tanya Masters
IPT Ambassador and the leading figure in the promotion of women’s poker in Europe as well as being a very successful tournament player across the continent

Sia Browne
Donegal’s poker superstar and multiple tournament winner on the IPT

Ian Hamrock
Unflappable PLO specialist with a great NLH record

Shane Keary
A hugely successful tournament player across all formats despite, or perhaps because of, his highly unorthodox hand selections.

The Team Championship is held over two days with points to be won across various formats and game types including Single Table Tournaments in NLHE, PLO and PLO8, Heads Up matches and Multi-Table Tournaments. Team Captain, Tanya knows that her team has a wide variety of skills along with some surprise moves, and she expects Ireland to be competing strongly for the overall trophy on the evening of the 22nd.

Go forth and conquer, Team Ireland
