Mohanveer Bhasin Takes Claremorris €20k
Mohanveer Bhasin has only just discovered the Irish Poker Tour but it appears that he has taken to it. In just his fifth start in Tour Mohanveer took down the Claremorris ‘€20k in a Day’ beating a star-studded Final Table to take home the trophy and €6,200.
Everyone’s favourite Poker Vet (animals not rifles), Killian Farrell once again came up short in his quest for an IPT trophy when coming second for €4,200 with John Fannon justifying his long drive up by taking third for €2,600.
Other Final Tablists included reigning Player of the Year, Paul Carr, Ian Hamrock and Shane Keary. Also in the money was Leaderboard leader Hugh Smyth who immediately on getting knocked out of the Main jumped into the Omaha and collected more points for a scrambling third place finish.
Ming Jin Chen (Jack to most Galway poker heads) won the Omaha beating Duane McDonnell into second. Rodrigo Diaz continued his recent hot run of form winning the €5k side event and €2,000. At the Summer in Dublin Festival Rodrigo won €11,360 out of a €23,565 prizepool in the Mystery Bounty and then travelled to the Macau an cashed in their Main Event.
Onwards to Dublin for the Lúnasa Lunacy.
