Onwards and Upwards with the Irish Poker Tour
After the adventure that is an Irish Poker Tour major festival in Killarney, the tour sets off on the glistening road to Galway. All poker eyes will now turn to the glamorous Galmont Hotel in Galway city centre where the Irish Poker Championship Festival will be held from the 5th to the 8th of January. Tournament guarantees for this fabulous festival will top €500,000, with €250,000 guaranteed in the Irish poker Championship itself, but the most important guarantee of all is that this will be one hell of a way to welcome in the New Year.
The Tour recommences in the Fairways Hotel, Dundalk with a two-day event on Friday/Saturday, October 14th/15th. Friday’s tourney starts at 4 pm and has a €15k guarantee for a €150 buy-in. Saturday’s Main Event at 2 pm has a €20k guarantee with a €250 buy-in while the side event has a €120 buy-in and a €5k guarantee. This will be swiftly followed by a cross-country jaunt to Limerick’s Radisson Blu Hotel for a €20k/€150 one-dayer on Saturday, October 22nd.
Then the Irish Poker Tour returns to the Green Isle Dublin for the much anticipated Dublin Poker Series 2. The second edition of this Series will be even bigger and better than the first with three separate mini-festivals. Tour Stop*1 in this series takes place on Friday/Saturday, November 11th/12th.
The Main Event has two Day 1s; Friday at 6 pm and Saturday at 1 pm with a €150 buy-in and a remarkable €60,000 guarantee for Day 2 starting at 7 pm on Saturday. The side event on Saturday has an 8 pm start with a €10k guarantee for a €120 buy-in. Tour Stop*2 is on Friday/Saturday, December 9th/10th with the same timings and guarantees.
Tour Stop*3 lights up Christmas Week and its highlight is the Irish Poker Tour Final for 2022 which is the culmination of all the successful countrywide tour stops. The Main Event has a whopping €100,000 guarantee. There are three Day 1s; Thursday, December 28th, at 1 pm and 6 pm, and Friday 29th at 11 am (Fast Structure). The final starts at 3 pm. The Dublin Poker Cup has a €40k guarantee for a €250 buy-in and starts at 4 pm with a super satellite for the Irish Poker Championship in Galway at 8 pm.
Meanwhile, there will be an Irish Poker Tour stop in Mayo; Friday 4 pm/Saturday at 2 pm November 25th/26th at the McWilliam Park Hotel in Claremorris with €40,000 in guarantees and another mini-festival in the Eglinton Casino Galway from December 15th to the 18th with €65,000 in total guarantees.
Then on the 5th of January big-time poker returns to one of its natural homes; the Galmont Hotel in Galway for the Irish Poker Championship. The Championship has a remarkable €250,000 guaranteed prize pool and the overall festival guarantees will top half a million euros.
