Ray and Robbie Bryant set to Leave Irish Poker Tour Role
Bright Future Ahead for Irish Poker’s ‘Terrible Twins’
After two tremendous and mutually successful years, the Bryant brothers and the Irish Poker Tour have agreed that they are to part company following Ray and Robbie’s decision to explore other opportunities and directions. The hugely popular Midlands-based poker twins were the first members of the Irish Poker Tour Team and smoothly ascended to the role of Ambassadors when that group was expanded earlier this year. They have both made a huge contribution to the growth of the IPT over this period and, at the same time, have expanded their own profiles and improved their tournament play as their recent run of good results has shown.
Wherever they travelled with the IPT across Ireland, the UK, and Europe Robbie and Ray have spread the good news about poker with their dry humour and unfailingly good humour always to the fore. Everyone at the IPT is very grateful to the lads for their consistent efforts to promote our joint project. We are certain that whatever they turn their hands to next in the poker world will be a massive success and that they will be warmly welcomed at any of our events and festivals in the future.
Tour impresario Fintan Gavin said, “Ray and Robbie are great poker players and were wonderful ambassadors, but much more importantly they are total gentlemen and a credit to their family & the poker community. Whatever they do and wherever they go, I am certain that they will be successful. To me, they were much more than Team Pros or Ambassadors, they were my friends and they will continue to be so. The boys will always be more than welcome at any event that I am involved in, regardless of what patch they wear”
Jason, our Tour Manager said, “These are two genuine lads who are on their own journey in Poker. One that I can personally relate to and see my old self in them and I only wish them the very best of luck. I am sure we will see them at future events especially as we build up to the big one in Killarney which is where I first met the lads. All the best Robbie & Ray.”
