Siege Of Clonmel IV – Day 1 Wrap

Day 1 in the books.

When we kicked off our Live LPU coverage today at our 4th installment of the Siege , our first guarantee was already most of the way there. And in level 5 of the Cotton Club €10k, it was confirmed. €18,768 was the prizepool and Damien Ionut Keb saw off Eoin Ryan heads up after a deal was done 4-way. They played on for an extra €500 and the trophy.

Special shoutout has to go to Stevie Lee who exited the frame in 5th just shy of the deal but a strong showing nonetheless.

Our Friday night freezeout went late. Derek “ I can’t play poker but I can count”  Baker ran deep. It must be Clonmel. He was 2nd in chips with 170k with 5 remaining but couldn’t get into the money just missing out finishing in 5th. Vasileios Kontogiannis defeated Rodrigo Diaz heads up after a back and forth battle . €1440 and his first IPT Trophy. Congratulations Vasileios.

The Main Event saw 115 entries as the prizepool climbed and climbed. Killian Farrell battled late in level 15 down to 63k chips and his day got slightly better towards level 15 where he finished on 86k. At the end of level 15 we had 27 players weather the storm with Jordan Cooper leading the way in 1A with 337,000 

Today’s action kicks off at 12 bells with Main Event 1B.
