St Patrick’s €100K for €100 – Day 1 Wrap
The Irish Poker Tour rolls into Dublin, giving punters the opportunity to spend €100 and battle it out for an astonishing guaranteed prize pool of €100,000. In the run up to the 17th of March which needs no introduction on these shores. Celebrating a man who hated snakes on this plain, as much as Samuel L Jackson. It is time to once again enjoy some competitive poker in the comforts of the Green Isle Hotel.
Starting off the St Patrick’s Weekend €100K for €100 was the €30K GTD APAT Irish Open Championship 1A at 2pm, with 52 entries 15% of the field were set to go through, meaning 8 players would make it through to tomorrow’s final day. Players from Germany, Romania, England, Poland and of course Ireland were amongst those in the 1A.
In the end the highest stack was taken in by Peter Hyland with 995,000, close in 2nd was Thomas Murphy winner of the Irish Poker Festival MILLIONS in 2023 winning €10,603. With a decent stack just behind the leader it will be interesting to see how he mounts a charge tomorrow with a stack of 980,000. In 3rd was Vilius Kadelskas with 790,000. Among the group was Jonathan Condron
The APAT Irish Open Championship Day 1B which started later in the day attracted 104 entries which equated to 16 players taking their stack to the final. The highest chip counts were with Tomas Geleziunas, winner of the Irish Poker Tour Dublin 400 tournament in November 2024, 1,460,000, Francis Onwuka 1,100,000 and Wang Chan 1,045,000 who took home 5 trophies in 2024.
With the APAT Championship finishing tomorrow, the first flight of the St Patrick’s Weekend €100K for €100, the €10k One Dayer and the Thursday Night NLH, it is set to be an action packed day of poker.
