The Monster 2026 – Day 3 Wrap

Bank holiday weekend, and with the sun out, the whole place had a different feel to it. Good energy around the room, plenty of smiles, and The Monster rolled straight into another busy day of action-packed poker.

Starting off the day was The Monster Main Event Day 1E which attracted 189 entries and boosted the prize pool by €30,845. It was David James (not the ex-England keeper) that set the pace with the biggest stack of 510,000 heading into the next stage.

In the €250 Progressive Bounty Day 1A, a field of 87 entries was reduced to 12 players, who went through to the final later in the day. Sean Devlin put in one of the standout performances of the day, finishing clear at the top with 635,000.

The Omaha 4/5 Cards event provided a change of pace, drawing 44 entries and building a €9,300 prize pool. A five-way deal brought the tournament to a close, with Micheál J O’Neill, Liam Byrne, Evan Lester, George Warnock, and Aleksandras Nagreckis each locking up €1,800, while Micheál J O’Neill who was chip leader at the time, took the trophy.

The turbo format of the €250 Progressive Bounty Day 1B Hyper saw 31 entries take their seats, with 7 players advancing, led by Stewart Samuels, who bagged the top stack of 232,000.

Late registration remained strong for The Monster Main Event Day 1G, which pulled in 141 entries, with 15 players progressing and Ernest Lydon ending the flight as chip leader on 582,000.

The night wrapped up with the €250 Progressive Bounty Final, where 118 entries created a €25,395 prize pool. Pavlo Havrylyshen secured the win for €5,675 along with €2,875 in bounties, while Jason Tompkins picked up €3,320 and €525 in bounties for second place. Sean Devlin held on to his early lead to finish in third for €3,200 plus €1,300 in bounties.

The numbers keep rising, the stacks keep growing, and The Monster is yet again living up to its name.
