Galway Poker Festival Opens 2024 with €500K+ Guarantee

The Galway Poker Festival returns to the glamorous Galmont Hotel starting today the 3rd of January and running through to Sunday the 7th. The Festival is notorious for its late nights and uproarious fun times but it also involves some serious poker. The main event is the Galway Poker Cup which carries a €300,000 guarantee for a modest €600 entry fee, and other highlights include the €50k Mystery Bounty and €40k High Roller.

Event partners Paddy Power Poker are adding over €25,000 in bonus prizes including a €5,000 Mystery Bounty prize and a €10,000 Sole Survivor prize in the Main Event. The Sole Survivor prize is open to all players that qualify online at Paddy Power Poker and there are satellites running every night right up to the event.

For players that wish to back themselves in the Main Event or fancy a flutter on their favourite player, a book has been opened on Paddy Power.

Pokerstars ambassadors Fintan Hand and Spraggy who both recently won UKIPT titles will be attending as will Game of Gold star Lukas Robinson. Spraggy was an enthusiastic attendee at the 2023 Festival and jumped at the opportunity to return to Galway where he said that he made new friends at every table. We believe Spraggy is referring to the tables in the illustrious Paddy Power Players Lounge, maybe there is something in the water.
