Clonmel To Host Premier Poker Championship

Tipperary’s Biggest Ever Guarantees

The Irish Poker Tour is heading back to the Talbot Hotel in Clonmel from Friday, October 20th to Sunday 22nd to host The Premier Poker Championship. The Premier Poker Championship will be the biggest-ever poker festival to be held in County Tipperary with a combined guaranteed prize pool of €100,000.

We are proud to say that this Championship will be hosted in partnership with the Irish Tour South-East Ambassador Ed Fogarty of The Cotton Club. Ed will also be running live satellites for the events and bringing up the usual crowd from Waterford to win a few trophies and take the loot.

The main event, the Premier Poker Cup, will have a massive €60,000 guarantee for a modest €200 entry fee. There are four flights; Friday 6 pm, Saturday 12 noon, 4 pm, and 9 pm. In addition, there is the innovative new format of an ‘All-in or Fold’ flight on Sunday at 12 noon. In this flight, tables of 7 will play a single table all-in or fold knockout with the winner at each table qualifying for the Premier Poker Cup Final with 280,000 chips which will be approximately average stack. The Final starts at 1 pm on Sunday.

The other major weekend highlight is the Paddy Power Mystery Bounty which starts at 2 pm on Friday with a €15,000 guarantee for a €250 buy-in. Of this buy-in €120 goes into the main prize pool with €100 set aside for bounties. Bounties kick in once the final starts at 9 pm.

In addition, there are €5k guaranteed €150 Hold’em tournaments on Friday and Saturday night with the €10k Clonmel 300 and a Monsterstack on Sunday.
