The Irish Poker Tour Rankings Leaderboard & Playoffs
Throughout 2023 1100 players have cashed in tournaments and therefore accrued points for the Irish Poker Tour Leaderboard.
The Leaderboard ran from the IPC in The Galmont in January through to the Galway Winter Festival last weekend
All players who cashed in Irish Poker Tour tournaments over the qualifying period gained Ranking Points.
You can see the final Leaderboard here.
The prize pool of €50,000 is made up of 1% taken from all events PLUS €10,000 added by Paddy Power Poker.
In fact, the final prize pool was €49,965 but that’s not as nice a number as €50,000 so we rounded it up 🙂
The top three finishers on the Leaderboard shared substantial cash prizes amounting to 25% of the overall pool.
Those players were:
Team Pro member Paul Carr was the runaway winner with Irish Poker Tour regular Ian Hamrock grabbing second place only on the final weekend of qualifying from another Team Pro member Darren Harbinson.
As the player with the highest number of points as of the December 25th 2023 endpoint Paul will be proclaimed the champion player of the year and, along with their substantial cash prize of €6,250, he will receive a specially commissioned solid gold commemorative bracelet which will mark their achievement in perpetuity.
Well done to all 3 players for their consistently good results.
